Opencv :

Opencv is a package which can be used with  many languages like c++, java, python etc and platforms like windows, linux, Mac os.

opencv is means opensource computer vision.

The main idea behind opencv is that using computer vision for real time projects and any one can use it and contribute to it because it is open source.

Opencv was originally developed in 1999 by intel but later it was supported by willow garage.

you can detect faces , smiles , patterns , do basic image mainpulation and many things with using opencv-python.

computer vision ?

" Computer vision is an interdisciplinary field related to, e.g., artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, signal processing and geometry. The purpose of computer vision is to program a computer to "understand" a scene or features in an image. " as wikipedia says.

opencv is used with many computer languages but this article is for those who are in python field so that's why we are using opencv-python package for working with opencv with python code.

Installation.

you can install opencv-python by just writing 

>>> "pip install opencv-python" in your cmd.
